      <image:title>Meet the therapist - About</image:title>
<image:caption>Natalie Gerlinsky, LMHC, LPC, CCTP-II Ever wonder why certain patterns in your life or relationships can feel so difficult to change, even when you understand where they come from? Sometimes the answer lies in experiences of trauma, whether from a single event or from complex trauma that developed over time. I specialize in helping individuals understand how past experiences can continue to shape the way we think, feel, relate, and respond in the present. Together, we work to make sense of these patterns, understand why they developed, and explore what it might look like to respond differently without losing the parts of yourself that helped you get here. My approach is collaborative, with the work personalized to your needs and goals. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Level 2 (CCTP-II), I integrate EMDR, Brainspotting, and IFS-informed parts work with approaches such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, depending on what fits the work we are doing. Together, we may explore patterns such as people-pleasing, self-criticism, low self-esteem, difficulty with boundaries, or other ways past experiences may continue to affect how you think, feel, and relate to others. I offer couples and relationship therapy using the Gottman Method, with a focus on understanding the patterns that shape your relationship and the ways you relate to one another. Our process begins with a joint session, followed by an in-depth relationship assessment completed by each partner. I then meet individually with each of you to learn more about your personal and relationship history. We then meet together for a feedback session, where we review what has come up throughout the assessment and our sessions and identify the areas that may need attention. This may include communication, conflict, emotional connection, intimacy, or other patterns within the relationship. Proudly sex-positive and LGBTQIA+ affirming, I work with both traditional and non-traditional relationships. To schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation, please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you! “You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress, simultaneously." — Sophia Bush</image:caption>
